Maple-Sweetened Apple Crisp Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ⅓ cup butter, melted
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Drizzle apples with 2 tbsp maple syrup and spread in dish.
- In a bowl, combine oats, flour, spices, melted butter, and remaining maple syrup.
- Spread topping evenly over apples.
- Bake 40 minutes, until golden and bubbly.

- Use darker (Grade B) maple syrup for a stronger flavor.
